The Anointing That Guides

"I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in Him." - 1 John 2:26-27

Surprise surprise! There are folks out there trying to lead us astray. Some of them are pretty good at it. Some are sincere in their wrong leading. Some are downright trying to use scripture to advance their own fleshly, sinful agenda. Some just like to cause trouble. Whatever the reason, we just need to be aware of forces at work to deceive.

So now that you're aware, what are you going to do? And what about this anointing John speaks of—what is it? How can it help? Hmmmm. Tricky stuff—right. We better pray!

Holy Spirit come and lift the veils that keep us from seeing the truth. Lead us deeper into Jesus as we search the Scriptures. Help us to know the mind of Christ, so anything not fitting with His Goodness, Power, Wisdom and Love are exposed for the lies they are. Jesus thank You for the anointing of Your Spirit to lead us into Truth—Yes. To lead us into You. Amen.
