Reflecting on Jesus' promise of peace, this devotional encourages us to trust in God's presence amid life's storms, remembering that we are always secure in Him.
Tuesday Devotional – Believing and Loving
"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves His child as well." 1 John 5:1
Believe and love. Pretty simple right? Well, sort of. You see our deepest beliefs and greatest loves, they are what govern our lives... Maybe with one exception—Fear. This might be the summation of the "Fight for our Life". The fight of faith and love over doubt and fear.
Ponder with me for a moment that "Jesus is the Christ". The Savior of the world. The One Who not only showed us the way of "the good life" but is the way of the good life. The One Who overcame all that is wrong with this world and offers His overcoming Life to me and to you. Will we believe this to the point of allowing it to govern our lives? You see this kind of belief is only completed in our actions. And remember, the Love of God is completed in us as well, as we live it out in our everyday lives (1 John 4:12).
Let's pray.
Jesus I love You—I believe in You. We believe in You. We will follow You. Holy Spirit fill us with the Life and Love of our Savior so we become all we were created to be... Walking, talking, living, breathing expressions of His Love and Life and Goodness and Grace and Glory in this world. Amen.
Believing and Loving. What you think. Y'all ready for that? Good. Me too.
Come on then. Let's Go!
Reflect on how faith in Jesus empowers us to overcome the world's empty promises and live in true victory.
Reflecting on 1 John 5:3-4, this devotional explores what it means to love God by keeping His commands, not out of fear or duty, but from a place of genuine love and faith that overcomes the world.
